Four words that tell the story of Tiziano and Marco and, above all, the origins of MBwear.
They met as opponents, shared the road as teammates, and over time built a friendship founded on the same passion. From that passion came a shared dream: to create technical products of the highest quality, capable of combining performance, comfort, and a unique, unmistakably Italian design.
In 2015, when they were still professional cyclists, that dream began to take shape. It all started with a simple, practical need: to create a sock that truly met the needs of those who experience sport at the highest level. MBwear was born from that experience.
From the very beginning, the company has carried the DNA of its founders: first-hand knowledge of sport, a pursuit of performance, meticulous attention to detail, and the belief that even an apparently simple product can become something extraordinary when designed without compromise.
FROM IDEA TO PRODUCT
MBwear began with a single sock model, available in four colors. But even with that first product, the direction was clear: not to pursue growth at all costs, but to build it step by step, continually investing in research, development, and quality.
Over time, the collection grows and evolves, introducing models designed for different disciplines and conditions of use. The philosophy, however, always remains the same: performance, comfort, and design.
Every new product begins with a meticulous development process. Fabrics, fibers, weaves, fit, and technical details are studied and tested before being added to the collection. For MBwear, innovation does not simply mean adding a new product: it means having a concrete reason to do so and offering customers something that is genuinely better.
RESEARCH. DEVELOPMENT. TESTING. EVOLUTION.
MBwear quality does not happen by chance.
It is the result of daily work involving research into new fibers, experimentation with fabrics and weaves, fit studies, discussions with athletes and professionals, and direct control over the various production stages.
Over the years, the founders’ experience has been joined by professionals with decades of experience in the textile and technical sportswear industries, creating a wealth of expertise that enables MBwear to approach every project with a complete perspective: from raw materials to the finished product.
This is complemented by a direct and ongoing relationship with leading European spinners, with whom MBwear develops and selects fibers and materials capable of offering the best possible balance between performance, comfort, durability, and responsible production.
Research therefore also concerns what cannot be seen: the quality of the raw material, process traceability, and attention to environmental impact.
MATERIAL, STRUCTURE, FUNCTION
Q-SKIN®
Polyamide 6.6 fiber with silver ions incorporated during the spinning process. In the MBwear catalog, it is associated with breathability, freshness, hygiene, and comfort, as well as effectiveness designed to last even after numerous washes.
Documented use: numerous technical sock models, including Desert, Fun Evo, Aero, and Pro.
GRAPHENE
In the Pro Graphene 2.0 model, graphene is used in the foot area. The catalog describes its thermoregulatory, antistatic, and conductive properties, as well as greater abrasion resistance compared with standard polyester or polyamide yarns.
Documented use: Pro Graphene 2.0, combined with Q-SKIN®.
BAMBOO YARN
The catalog associates bamboo yarn with softness, breathability, moisture absorption, and thermoregulation. In Pro Bamboo, it is used in the inner construction of the sock to enhance comfort and ease of use.
Documented use: Pro Bamboo.
MERINO WOOL
Merino wool responds to changes in body temperature, absorbs water vapor, and releases it to the outside. The fineness of the fibers contributes to softness, elasticity, and comfort against the skin.
Documented use: Aero Fast Wool, Libeccio, Siberia Evo, and selected products from the Accessories and Luxury Underwear collections.
DRYARN®
Hydrophobic polypropylene fiber used in technical underwear. The catalog associates it with transporting moisture to the outside, lightness, rapid drying, and resistance.
Documented use: Mesh tank top, Women's Top, and technical underwear from the standard seasonal collections.
SEAMLESS AND DIFFERENTIATED KNITTING
The seamless construction and differentiated processing — mesh, microchannels, and 3D structures depending on the model — are used to support movement, manage breathability, and limit pressure on the skin.
Documented use: MBwear technical underwear and tubular accessories; specific structures are also present in numerous sock models.
LUXURY YARNS AND RECYCLED POLYAMIDE
The Luxury Underwear line combines polypropylene, wool, and silver, depending on the model. The catalogue also reports declared percentages of recycled polyamide in some winter accessories and Luxury garments.
Documented use: Luxury Mesh Tank Top, Luxury Spring Short-Sleeve Jersey, Luxury Winter M/L Jersey, Winter Neck Warmer, and Comfort Balaclava.
SEASON RANGE
The Season Range helps identify the product best suited to the conditions of use.
The specific level is indicated on each product page when documented in the official catalogue.
MADE IN TREVISO. MADE WITH KNOW-HOW.
The connection with the local area is an integral part of MBwear’s identity.
Production is entirely Made in Treviso, an area with a deep manufacturing and textile tradition, where craftsmanship now meets advanced technologies and production processes.
For MBwear, producing nearby means being able to maintain direct control over production, communicate daily with the people involved in development, and act quickly when a detail can be improved.
Because the difference is often not found in major revolutions. It lies in the small details that are observed, discussed, and refined every day.
THE FUTURE IS IN RESEARCH
From that first sock in 2015, MBwear has built an ever broader and more specialized collection. But the true common thread of our story is not the products we have already created.
This is how we continue to create them.
The curiosity to seek out a better fibre.
The desire to test a new structure.
Paying attention to a detail that can improve comfort.
Collaborating with people whose expertise differs from ours.
The determination not to bring something to market until we are truly convinced that it meets our expectations.
Because MBwear does not simply want to produce technical socks and underwear. It wants to continue developing them.
This is our story: born on the road, developed through research, and built every day on quality.
